Rahul Gandhi claims that the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh is an attack on democracy. Very cleverly he raises Congress to the level of “democracy” and also refuses to involve politics into it. I’d like to ask why this particular attack is an attack on democracy. Just because it killed over 20 people, is that how it qualifies?
TOI report of Rahul Gandhi calling Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh killing 29 people n attack on democracy.
Democracy means rule of the people. And if India, especially rural India, did have the rule of the people – ideologies like Maoism wouldn’t have spread so deep, in the first place.
Congress has been carrying the flag of “garibi hatao” (remove poverty) for over 50 years – and every naxal activity is a slap on the face of Congress politics. It calls itself the party of the poor. All it had been doing is using shiny promises to convert into votes – at the same time it’s ministers been turning billionaires overnight. It had been routing a majority of Indian revenue into projects to eradicate poverty – but in reality Congress loves poverty. Poverty alone has made it rule India for over 50 years.
Kapil Sibal recently said that they have failed to communicate their achievements to aam janta – let me communicate them to you: You can read all about it here.
Aam Aadmi Party has been the political threat that Congress thinks, if ignored, will disappear – what they don’t realise that AAP is doing what Congress should have done right in the beginning. Congress was the party of Aam Aadmi – but over the years it has merely used ‘common man’ in slogans to extract cheap vote.
Their prince Rahul Gandhi, thinks by gimmicks like spending a night in a village slum would keep Indian voter satisfied and ever so thankful. Look at the condition of Amethi and Rai Bareily – they’re the epitome of poverty.
Leaders of Congress are so arrogant that they have turned blind to the pulse of the nation. Their national ‘damaad’ ridicules aam aadmi by calling him ‘Mango Man’. Their home minister Sushil Shinde mocks short memory of Indian voter. Delhi’s chief minister Sheila Dixit asks Delhiites to stop using electricity in the weather of 47 degrees if they find electricity expensive.
Whom I pity the most are the hardcore supporters of Congress who are so blind in their almost slave-like love for the Gandhi dynasty that they’ve forgotten how big a dis-service it is to give even a single vote to this party. Yet, it won in Karnataka – despite their open roadshow of corruption in the center.
We sit in our homes – and condemn the violence happening in poor states of India. These people aren’t political experts. They’re daily wage labourers – who still don’t have access to basic food and shelter. If you still can’t imagine – you could picture the plight of Nattha in Aamir Khan’s ‘Peepli Live’. Would you leave the theater angry if he had turned violent in the climax?
The reality in ‘majority India’ is much worse.

Should this farce of “garibi hatao’ allowed to continue?
If Congress was ever serious about developing India – it’s not rocket science to realise that eradicating corruption was the first step. If the released funds (in billions) don’t even reach the needy – then where do they go? Despite this Lokpal Bill kept rotting in files for 45 years – it wasn’t on priority at all.Kapil Sibal recently said that they have failed to communicate their achievements to aam janta – let me communicate them to you: You can read all about it here.

Either Nattha will ‘die’ or ‘kill’
